DEMAG AC500-2 Mobile Crane

The Demag AC500-2 mobile crane is Demag’s response to the Liebherr LTM1500. Even though, in terms of function, both machines pursue the same goals, the approach in design couldn’t be more different. The Demag’s 500 ton lifting capacity sits on an 8-axle all terrain chassis 17 metres long. Its boom reaches a total of 56 metres, and it’s divided in 5 sections. Perhaps the Demag AC500-2 is for those who don’t want to be bothered with mounting and dismounting boom configurations.
